Magnolia Park Gift Card – frequently asked questions

What is a Prepaid Gift Card?

A Gift Card is a bearer payment instrument. Thanks to this fact, the card can be handed to any person, who then becomes its holder.

How to obtain the Gift Card?

To become a card holder, you do not need to carry out any formalities – just go to the information desk in the shopping centre, provide your personal data, and in some cases an ID card.

How can I deposit funds on the Gift Card?

The card can be loaded at the information desk. Accepted forms of payment are: cash, payment card, transfer (bank details will be provided to the customer by contacting the shopping centre or the FEV helpline).

Do I have to activate the Card?

No, the card is automatically activated 15 – 30 minutes after its purchase.

How and where can funds on the Card be used?

The Gift Card allows its user to securely pay at service and commercial points in the shopping centre where MasterCard payment is accepted (except for selected self-service checkouts). The card does not have a PIN number, and transactions are authorized by the user’s signature. The card cannot be used for on-line payments or at an ATM.

What to do after spending all the funds on the Card?

The Gift Card is a one-time loaded card. After using the funds loaded on it, the card should be destroyed.

Where to check your account balance on the Gift Card?

  • On the website https://secure.emlconnect.com/Account/Login?
  • On the websites of the shopping centre where the Card was purchased
  • By calling: +48 22 490 69 23,  Monday – Saturday: 10:00 – 20:00, Sunday: 10:00 – 18:00.
  • At the information desk of the shopping centre where the Card was purchased.

Can I return the Gift Card and get a refund?
Refunds can only be carried out:

  • for the person who purchased the Card and has proof of its purchase in the form of a receipt
  • Within 14 days of issuing the Card; after this period, a fee in the amount of PLN 40 is charged
  • If the Card has not been signed and the funds have not been used
  • The refund will be made in the same form as the purchase

Is it possible to return the money to the Gift Card for the goods purchased in the store?

Yes, if the store accepts a refund for payment cards. This is done in the same way as with other payment cards.

Does the card have an expiration date?

Yes, the funds on the Card are valid for 12 months after its purchase.

Can the card be reactivated after its expiry date?

The card can be reactivated within 90 days from the date of its expiry.
The Holder has the right to reactivate the Gift Card together with the funds remaining on it, provided that the application is made, as follows:

  • by submitting a reasoned request directly at the information desk of the shopping centre where the Card was purchased.
  • by sending a reasoned request to the following e-mail address: rcpoland@emlpayments.com
  • by calling the Customer Service Office +48 22 490 69 23

Written requests for reactivation of funds are resolved by the Administrator within 14 days from the date of receipt. The Holder will receive information on the decision to reactivate the Card in the same way the request was made.
If the request for reactivating the Card is accepted, the Holder will be able to use the existing Card for the next three months starting from the date of its reactivation.
The fee for reactivating funds on the Card is PLN 20. The fee will be deducted from the amount reactivated on the Card.

Can the Card be used when the product price is higher than the funds available on the Card?

Yes, you should inform the cashier about available funds on the Card. The cashier should then make a combined transaction – charge the available amount from the Card and the rest in a different form of payment.

What is the minimum and maximum amount I can load?

The card can be loaded by the amount from PLN 30 to PLN 4 000.

Does using the Card impose additional fees?

No, the Card is used like any other payment card.

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

If the Card is lost or stolen, please contact the customer service department: +48 22 490 6923, which will cancel the card. The user will be issued a new Card with the amount equal to the amount on the Card at the time of its cancellation. The new Card will be issued at the information desk of the shopping centre for an additional fee of PLN 20.

What does the process of ordering gift cards by companies look like?

In the case of payment by credit card or cash, cards can be made on the spot.
In the case of payment by bank transfer, please inform the company about downloading the order form. The company should then:

  • send the form to the address: rcpoland@emlpayments.com
  • FEV sends a proforma bookkeeping note, based on which the company should make a payment.
  • after crediting the funds to the account, an FEV employee sends an e-mail to Magnolia Park about issuing the correct number of gift cards with the submitted data.
  • an FEV employee informs the card company about the date of card receipt.

In the case of card or cash payment for ordering more cards, the process is similar (except for the waiting time for the funds to be booked).

Is it possible to receive an invoice for purchasing Gift Cards for companies?

The purchase of cards may be confirmed not by an invoice, but by a bookkeeping note. In order to receive the note, you must submit a request of such when being provided with the Cards or contact the shopping centre for which the Cards have been issued. The note will be sent to the indicated email address within 3 business days.

Why is it necessary to provide personal data when purchasing a card?

Personal data is necessary, so that if the Card is lost, the user can cancel it. Thanks to the personal data, the consultant will be able to find it in the system and cancel it.
The FEV (program administrator) as a financial institution is obliged to register the personal data of persons buying gift cards in order to counter financial fraud and ‘money laundering’.

How is the card cancelled only for a given shopping centre?

The cancellation is based on data collected from payment terminals in a given shopping centre
